Consumer Class Actions
A class action is generally a case in which a Court has determined that it is best to handle a common problem in a coordinated proceeding or set of proceedings.
Consumer class actions usually involve common grievances affecting large numbers of people, and are governed by many of the same facts and laws.
There are oftentimes substantial benefits to collectively handling common grievances, particularly where the individual value of the claims may be relatively small but spread across large numbers of similarly affected persons.
These cases require special experience and expertise to handle effectively.
